Flex hockey at HC Eindhoven

Would you like to play hockey (again)? You can at HC Eindhoven! We support the national KNHB initiative:

flexhockey (https://www.knhb.nl/kenniscentrum/hockeysoorten/flexhockey). This is a collection of flexible forms of hockey that allow seniors to occasionally – in an accessible way – participate in a team of their choice. For example, they can join recreational hockey (https://www.hceindhoven.nl/trimhockey) or play as a guest player in the regular competition. You can read below how the latter works.


Who is this interesting for?

This is ideal for former members who cannot be on the field every weekend due to education, work, relocation, or a relationship, but still want to stay connected to the club or team. Or for hockey players who have moved to the region and want to join initially via a flexible model without immediately committing to a full season.


How can I participate?

  • Go to www.flexhockey.nl and create an account there.
  • Search for HC Eindhoven and view the selection.
  • Register for the desired activity.
  • After payment, the registration is final and you can participate.


What activities does HC Eindhoven currently offer?

For €12.50, you can join the team of your choice once. If you want to participate more often but do not want to become a member (yet), choose the punch card. With this, you can play with a (young) senior team up to 5 times in a season for €50.00.

Please note: These amounts do not include the one-time fee of €10.00 per season for KNHB registration. This makes you eligible to play and insured, which provides peace of mind.

HC Eindhoven aims to make hockey accessible to everyone in the region. In addition to our para hockey program (https://www.hceindhoven.nl/g-hockey), among others, we also contribute to a broad and inclusive sports offering with flex hockey.


Frequently asked questions.

Can I train with a team if I also play?

You may train with us once: the last training session before the match you are participating in. If you want to train and play more often, a membership is a better fit. Email us at hockeyzaken@hceindhoven.nl for the possibilities.


Do I have to pay KNHB registration fees if I am already a member of a club?

Are you already a member of our association, but not yet an active player – or are you a member of another club?

In that case, you usually do not have to pay registration fees. You only pay for the activity you purchase.

Can I join any team?

That depends on your experience and level. Check here (https://www.knhb.nl/kenniscentrum/competities/invallen) on the KNHB site yourself to see if you are eligible to fill in.

Please note: This is your own responsibility. HC Eindhoven plays a role in linking players to teams only in exceptional cases.


Is HC Eindhoven looking for a team for me after I register?

Usually not. Many guest players are former members who are already in contact with a team, probably through friends. Would you like us to make an exception and take a look with you anyway? Then email us to register via flexhockey.nl at flexhockey@hceindhoven.nl.


Are there any extra costs associated with my participation?

Yes. In addition to the costs for the activities, you pay €10.00 once per season for KNHB registration. This is arranged when creating your account on flexhockey.nl. After that, fully insured, you can participate in all activities offered via the platform for a year, where and whenever you want.


Is this also possible if you are still a junior?

Only in specific cases. If you want to know if this is possible for you, please contact us at flexhockey@hceindhoven.nl to register via flexhockey.nl.
